  • Why no essential oils?
Essential oils are highly concentrated, and while they may have specific benefits, they are harsher than their infused-oil cousins. Some people (and animals, including household pets) have negative responses to essential oils such as skin irritation, respiratory issues, and even digestive concerns. The same benefits can be gained with whole-plant infused oils without the potential negative side-effects. It is more costly to infuse oils but we believe it's worth the extra energy and cost.
  • What does "wildcrafted" or "wild-harvested" mean?
Wild-harvested (or sometimes called wildcrafted) plants are ones that were picked in nature, rather than cultivated in a garden or on a farm. We take care to ethically and sustainably source our wild ingredients by only taking as much as we need and leaving plenty for nature. We also make sure to only collect in areas that are not sprayed with pesticides or herbicides, so our products can be free of these poisons.
